AIESEC San Diego

An organization that I joined my freshman year of college, I was brought on as a visual designer/illustrator and collaborated with the social media/communications department so as to increase the awareness of our organization. A few projects I worked on included designing the San Diego branch's shirt, multiple fliers (both digital and on paper), and producing the overall product for the Facebook campaign "Where do you picture Yourself?" Overall, for a club ran by about 15 or so students, we met our expectations.

AIESEC San Diego shirt design

What I would describe as one of my greatest accomplishments is that people out in the world are wearing a shirt that I designed. Before, the San Diego branch did not have a t-shirt and that sort of hindered the club's feeling of unity. Now that they have a shirt, there is a greater sense of pride and unity with being an AIESEC-er.

Facebook Banner

Facebook was our favorite social media and platform and thus we used several Facebook campaigns. The Facebook banner was used towards the end of the year and it was one of many campaigns that added to our unity and was meant to create an impact on viewers by using an inspiring quote in order to bring about change. Those who wanted to make a difference would be inspired and perhaps join AIESEC as they identified with the message and mission statement of both the quote and the club.

Global Village Flyer

Global Village was an event we held so as to inform participating students about the various countries that were part of the AIESEC program and the customs in those various countries. For myself, as an artist, I wanted the flyer to be cool, eye-catching, and bold. Thus, I emphasized the countries in various fonts/typography, and drew famous landmarks from each country.

China and Taiwan

The very first flyer/visual I designed for AIESEC. The main point was to emphasize our program in China and Taiwan. Building on my Asian culture/background, I drew a traditional Chinese dragon and added color so as to make the graphic more eye-catching.
